BetAdvisor Sports Glossary

These are the common terms used on BetAdvisor and a quick explanation for each, we’re going to break it up by sport for you so some entries may be duplicated.

 

AMERICAN FOOTBALL:

Correct Score: A Correct Score bet allows you to predict what the final score will be in a game.

Handicap: One team, usually the away side, receives a head start for betting purposes. Punters can bet for or against the team with the head start.

Line Bet: Bet on who you think will win the match, taking into account a nominated plus or minus handicap.

Money Line: When you bet on the “Money Line” the team you bet on must win the game straight up in order to win your bet, regardless of how much your team win by.

Over/Under/Exactly: An Over/Under bet allows you to bet on how many goals you think there will be in a game. You can bet on ‘Over’, ‘Under’ or ‘Exactly’ a specified number of points.

Over/Under/Exactly: An Over/Under bet allows you to bet on how many points/games/sets you think there will be in a match You can bet on ‘Over’, ‘Under’ or ‘Exactly’ a specified number of points/games/sets.
