Seven-year-old The New One had an impressive 2014, culminating in an outstandingfour and half-length victory over Vaniteux at Cheltenham. He will be hoping to keep his form for trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies at Haydock this weekend to make it four victories in a row.

He’s a battler as evidenced by his narrow victory over Rock On Ruby at Aintree last year. Rider Sam Twiston-Davies has saddled all of his victories so far this National Hunt season andthe duo will be hoping his class can shine through to prove his favouritism.

His most recent win came in the Totequadpot Novices’ Hurdle at Taunton just over a fortnight ago, where he saw off Colin Tizzard trained Kingfisher Creek,by half a length.

Battling against Kingfisher Creek, again tomorrow, his trainer will be hoping he can keep up his impressive form of placing in all races this year, and priced at 5/2 he is a good bet to take the victory.
