Punters Ready for Final Day of York Festival

After all of the drama from the Dante, the highlight of the final day of the festival is the Betway Yorkshire Cup. The Group 2 race is part of the Qipco British Champions Series that finishes in October on British Champions Day at Ascot.

Moore to Provide Royal Winner

Jockey Ryan Moore has been known to ride some of racing’s finest horses over the past decade and whenever one special owner has an entry in a race he is called upon by trainer Richard Hannon to take the ride.
Owned by The Queen, three-year-old Pack Together is set to feature prominently in the Longines Irish Champions Weekend Fillies’ Stakes.
Winning last year at Lingfield, she has not appeared on the track since July of last year, so should be well rested.
Ridden by Ryan Moore, Pack Together is priced at 6.00

Gosden to Continue Dominant Form at York

Trainer John Gosdenalready has two winners under his belt at the Dante festival. One of those winnerswas Star of Seville, who held on to take the Musidora Stakes by a head from Together Forever. Hoping to continue his fine vein of form, he looks to Romsdalin the Betway Yorkshire Cup.

The four-year-old enjoyed a fruitful 2014, placing in the Epsom Derby, and returned to the track this year with an impressive showing at Kempton.

Narrowly beaten last time out at Newbury by Arab Spring, he will be hoping he can get back to winning ways.
Ridden by William Buick, Romsalis our best bet 3.25.

Bet of the Day

York 16:20 Dusky Queen

Richard Fahey has put a lot of faith into five-year-old mare Dusky Queen and he is looking for her to repay it in the EBF Stallions Breeding Winner Frank Whittle Partnership Stakes and win the race for the second year in succession.
The five-year-old put in an impressive performance on her last outing, finishing a narrow second behind That Is The Spirit at Haydock.
With form in the race behind her, she looks the one to beat in this fillies handicap, even though she is top weight.
Ridden by Samantha Bell, Dusky Queen is worth a punt priced 5.50.
