Crystal Palace vs Manchester United Match Preview

Crystal Palace welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon with both teams currently in the middle of a bad run that has seen both sides suffer three consecutive Premier League defeats.

Crystal Palace are practically safe now, but will be hoping the under pressure Man United side doesn’t travel well and they pull of the shock win.

United are chasing points as they hope to qualify for the Champions League and will be hoping that the three points here are the difference between Champions League and Europa League football.

Team News

AlanPardew could welcome back attacking pair Fraiser Campbell and Marouane Chamakh after stints with injury whilst captain Mile Jedinak could be added to the starting 11 after sitting out of the Chelsea defeat last weekend.

Elsewhere, United left-back Luke Shaw could miss his second consecutive game, which could once again see Daley Blind in that spot, whilst Phil Jones could replace Paddy McNair at the back after shaking off an ankle injury.

Stats

Neither of these sides have scored in any of their last three games.

Manchester United have failed to pick up a single point in their last three games since beating last season’s points tally. Louis van Gaal has three games remaining to better David Moyes’ record by more than a solitary point.

Manchester United have won 11 of their last 13 Premier League games versus Crystal Palace.

Prediction

Man United will be hoping to close out the season in good form and will look at Crystal Palace as a team they should be able to defeat. Palace, on the other hand, will be out for the upset tomorrow and that could make for a feisty game.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Man United
