Game Preview

Kean Bryan and Tom Walker arrived as Shakers on transfer deadline day and will join James Vaughan as possible 'home debutantes’ ahead of Saturday’s game with Port Vale.

Injuries though, are also causing a few headaches for the management with several key names missing though niggles and knocks. Kelvin Etuhu, Nathan Cameron, Neil Danns, Andrew Tutte and Chris Brown are all considered doubtful with this game coming, seven days, too early for the majority of them.  Next weekend will, hopefully, see a shorter workload for Tom Walsh and Paul Morgan in the Carrington medical room.

Last weekend's first half performance disappointed anyone of a 'Bury' persuasion, whilst the second half performance - coupled with the performance throughout the 90 minutes on Tuesday evening, have visibly lifted spirits amongst the fans as well as in and around Carrington.

Whilst performances for a game and a half will have delighted David Flitcroft, that first half showing, at the Banks’s Stadium last weekend, will have alarm bells ringing.  Those 45 minutes have been reviewed, dissected and analysed, lessons learnt and plans put into place to prevent such a thing happening again and, hopefully, it’s the last we see of it.

Port Vale will win this match.
