The Grizzlies are heading to their last game of the pre-season coming in this game with a terrific 4-1 record over that span. The Grizzlies lost their only game to the Atlanta Hawks in a 104-83 game, but got 4 massive victories over the Orlando Magic (102-97), Philadelphia 76ers (121-91), Oklahoma City Thunder (110-94) and the Houston Rockets (134-125). The Wolves still have 2 more games to go, and are also coming in with a winning record of 3-2 this pre-season. The Wolves lost to the Hornets in a 98-86 game and the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 112-94 game, but have gotten the victories against the Miami Heat (109-100) twice (101-96) and the Denver Nuggets (105-88).
The Wolves have seen production from Andrew Wiggins who has been hitting the rim and getting 17.2 points per game alongside Zach LaVine with 15 points per game. Karl-Anthony Towns is getting the ball back for the team with 9.5 rebounds per game and Ricky Rubio has been assisting the offense in 5.2 times per game while also making 2.2 steals per game. The Grizzlies are having Mike Conley and Troy Williams lead the team with 30 points per game combined, while JaMychal Green has been getting 6.4 rebounds per game. Mike Conley is also leading the team with 5.5 assists per game and is also making 2 steals per game. Brandon Wright has been stopping offenses with 1.5 blocks per game.
The Wolves have not been the greatest team this pre-season but have yet to lose back to back games. The Wolves have also shown more strength in offense and defense with a higher scoring lineup and a more active defense. The Grizzlies have done enough to get the wins this pre-season but that might not be enough as they are facing the surging wolves. But Memphis is my favourite here.
