In Wednesday night NBA preseason action, the Indiana Pacers will visit the Bradley Center to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pacers won 45 games last season and earned the number seven seed in the postseason. President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird made moves in the offseason to allow his team to play faster and score more points. The Pacers added Jeff Teague and Thaddeus Young in the offseason which should help. Last time out, Indiana allowed 44 second quarter points during a 114-106 road loss against Orlando. Myles Turner led Indiana with 17 points on 7-for-15 from the floor.
Last season the Milwaukee Bucks had high expectations, but finished at 33-49 and a 12th place finish in the Eastern Conference standings. Milwaukee plays in one of the toughest divisions in basketball and must improve on their defensive consistency to reach the postseason. Head coach Jason Kidd will lean on talented youngsters Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker to lead the team to the playoffs. In their last game, Milwaukee scored just 30 points during the second half of a 102-78 road loss against Detroit. The Bucks were outrebounded 49-39 on the evening.
The Bucks have dropped their last three games and have not managed to score more than 86 points in any of the losses. Indiana is too explosive on the offensive end and Milwaukee can’t put it in the basket right now.
