‘Carra is a f***ing loser & Gerrard’s slip was karma’

In an explosive interview ex-Liverpool player El Hadj Diouf has hit out at Anfield legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in which he also admitted a champagne glass attack on Rio Ferdinand’s brother Anton.

Carragher “is a f***ing loser” and Gerrard’s slip against Chelsea – which cost Liverpool the league – was “karma” according to Diouf who played for the Reds between 2002 and 2005.

The former Senegal international striker also described an incident during his time at Sunderland when he attacked Anton Ferdinand with a broken champagne glass.

 WORLD CLASS

In the astonishing interview with a French magazine, 35-year-old Diouf said: “The difference between Jamie [Carragher] and me is that I am a world-class player and he is a s**t.

“The type of s**t that writes a book and mentions me all the time. Me, in my book, he does not warrant one phrase: he’s a f*****g loser.”

Diouf was equally disparaging of Gerrard, Liverpool’s former inspirational captain fantastic who wrote in his autobiography that Diouf was one of the worst signings in the clubs ling history.

Diouf responded last year when Gerrard’s book was released by saying in a radio interview that Gerrard “never liked black people” and this year he added fuel to the fire.

 MY FAULT

“Do you think Gerrard means it when he says that El-Hadji Diouf is not a very good player?” said Diouf, continuing: “I carried the national team for many years, 14 million fans on my shoulders. When we won, it was thanks to me. When we lost, it was my fault.

“What I represented for Senegal, he [Gerrard] never managed 100th of that for England. He has never done anything in the World Cup or the Euros.

“When I arrived at Liverpool, seeing as I just did what I wanted, he thought that I did not respect the club.

“But he downright killed his team by slipping against Chelsea. If Liverpool has never won the Premier League, it’s no accident. What goes around comes around.”

 LIKE YOUR BRO

Diouf’s outburst was not restricted to his time at Liverpool as in the same interview he took time to slam his spell at Sunderland for whom he splayed for “six sh***y months” after signing for the Black Cats in 2008.

He reserved most of his ire for Rio Ferdinand’s brother Anton.

“I said to him, ‘Let’s go to the gym, I will take you on.’ He did not want to,” recalled Diouf. “I said, ‘You are like your brother… you walk like him, you eat like him – write your own story.’

“Inevitably, it was difficult in terms of atmosphere, I spent six s****y months there. We were not a team. There were little w*****s in the group who thought they were the best but they were crap. Anton, he was the number one w****r.”

CRAZY MAN

Ferdinand and Diouf then met up in a Manchester nightclub. “I ignored him; that must have bothered him, so he came over to test me.

“I’m a man, I can defend myself. If there is a crazy guy who wants to take me on, I’ll show him that I’m crazier than him. The first of his friends who came too close to me, he ended up running away.

“Since I was drinking champagne, I broke my glass and I attacked them… I came out unscathed, and since then, the club now uses plastic glasses.”
