Simon Dow to Show Force in Ladbrokes Handicap

Seven-year-old Forecful Appeal should have the calibre to win the Ladbrokes Handicap for trainer Simon Dow as the race was won by a horse of the same age last year.

After two races at Chelmsford at the turn of the year, his form dipped slightly on his last outing, however he should have enough to pass the post first.

Ridden by Luke Morris, he is priced at 8/1.

Botti Looks to Grendisar

Having failed to find a winner since the middle of last month, trainer Marco Botti has turned to Grendisar to get his season back on track in the coral.co.uk Winter Derby at Lingfield.

Comfortably winning his last two races on the Lingfield track, the five-year-old has shown exceptional form in all contests over the past year.

Ridden by Martin Harley, he is our best bet at Lingfield priced 4/1.

Tip of the Day

Lingfield 17:25 The Yank

Six-year-old The Yank has won his last three outings on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford.

Since returning to the track back in December at Kempton his form has steadily improved and trainer Tony Carrol will be looking for another solid performance from him.

Priced at 2/1 he is favourite to take the race.
