Jockey Assessment (Flat) – Ryan Moore

Jockey Assessment (Flat) – Ryan Moore

There will be a series of articles on a list of worthwhile jockeys to follow in specific circumstances, so if its profit you’re after then do read on…

Where better to start than with Ryan Moore who is arguably one of the best jockeys currently riding in the world. In 2016, he was crowned Worlds best jockey, a competition sponsored by Longines where the results are determined by a points system based on win and place results that are achieved in the best races around the globe.

He has a multitude of skills in his armoury which makes him a jockey to have on side more often than not. Sound temperament, strong in a finish with the whip and hand and heels manoeuvring. Understanding pace and as a consequence usually being in the right place at the right time are his main attributes.  You will find that when it comes to all the major Pattern races that he predominantly rides for Aiden O’Brien, who has some of the finest bred horses at his disposal year after year.

This means he is usually on a horse that is well regarded and has a live chance of performing well in these type of events.

However, that information is well known, so that it is often factored in the betting market and less easy to profit from over the long term. So what about some angles that are less obvious to the majority of punters which can be utilised to make future potential profits when he is in the saddle.

Here are some factors below for yoyyur consideration.

Please note records are based on a level staking plan to one Euro or Sterling per bet at SP (Industry prices).
