“Bollihope was extremely unlucky last time when finishing 4th at Wolverhampton and with better luck here he can go close. Returning from a break of 5 months, he was always travelling strongly in behind the leaders and looked to have major say turning for home, but he was badly hampered by the eventual winner and failed to gain a clear run in the straight. Despite this he still stayed on well to finish 4th but no doubt would’ve gone close to winning granted a clearer run. It was an encouraging performance considering the absence and the yard reported him to be a “different horse following a break” after his gelding operation. Bollihope, who was formerly with John Gosden, was rated as high as 75 previously and looks to be well handicapped from this mark of 60 now connections may have found the key to him. He should be sharper for that run today and it’s interesting that Connor Beasley now takes the ride who has a strike rate of 26% for the yard on the AW. If building on that previous run, Bollihope should go close here.”
