“The Gunners are now out of Europe and out of the FA Cup as well in the last week. Their season has come crashing down and they start the Premier League weekend eleven points behind league leaders Leicester. They face a tough trip to Goodison Park as well to face an Everton side who will be benefiting from an extra rest as well. No game is looking easy for Arsenal at the moment who have badly fallen out of form, will there be a good three points for Everton in the lunchtime kick off? Key Stats –Arsenal have lost just one of their last 18 games against Everton. The Toffees have won one of their last eight home games in the league. The Gunners have taken 10 points from the last 27 available in the top flight. The Gunners have won two of their last nine away games in the Premier League. Betting Tips-It’s fair to say that Everton haven’t had the best of seasons on home soil. The Toffees have won only four home games in the Premier League this term, losing seven of their fifteen played there in the top flight. They have lost three of their last four at Goodison as well in the Premier League and remain a huge conundrum for punters. They don’t have the greatest of records going against Arsenal either having won just one of their last 18 in all competitions against the gunners, losing eleven of those. They have however, gone unbeaten in their last three on home soil against Arsenal, posting one win in two draws. But for a side who have won only one of their last eight home games in the Premier League, can you back them? Well, they have a powerful forward line up, that’s for sure. Romelu Lukaku is on fire and netted a brilliant solo against Chelsea in the FA Cup last weekend. Lukaku is trading as 10/11 outright favourite in the anytime goalscorer market for the game having scored in three of Everton’s last four. The Toffees have scored a total of 29 goals on home soil this term and 67% of their home fixtures have gone over the 2.5 goal line. You can back the goals to be racked up and go over that for a price of 7/10. The Toffees have scored five goals in total in their last two home games against Arsenal. Everton lost 2-1 at the Emirates earlier in the season and have but they will be fresher than Arsenal who played in Europe in midweek. Arsenal won’t be giving punters a lot of confidence at the moment. They have only taken ten points from the last 27 available in the top flight and their title challenge has slipped away. They have only taken two wins in their last nine away games in the Premier League (W2 D4 L3). Their overall form in all competitions home and way doesn’t make good reading. There has been just the one win in their last eight games played and that was against Championship side Hull in the FA Cup. The Gunners have lost five of their last seven matches played in all competitions. Olivier Giroud has scored five goals in his last five games in all competitions against Everton, including in each of the last three Barclays Premier League meetings and the Frenchman is running at a price of 7/4 in the anytime goalscorer market. Prediction-The Gunners can’t be any value out on the road at the moment, certainly not at that price. The value in this one is all with Everton, even with their shoddy home record. It’s worth opposing Arsenal at the moment and that is the bottom line. The bottom has fallen out of their season and confidence and energy isn’t likely to be at a peak. Everton are a dangerous and powerful side going forward and they should be able to pour some salt on their wounds. Home win and the game is likely to go over 2.5 goals.”
