The Manchester derby will be played tomorrow at 17:30 GTM
The Citizens host arch-rivals Manchester United on Saturday evening, and a win over their nemesis will mathematically seal the Premier League title for them. Pep Guardiola’s men are coming in this one after the horror match in the first leg of the quarter finals of the champions League, on the hands of Liverpool. They have been unstoppable in the Premier League, with seven wins from their last eight games and still just a single defeat to their name for the entire season, again against Liverpool.
Manchester United will try and delay their noisy neighbors’ victory parade, but they have to show a lot of commitment and be on top of their game. The Red Devils are 2nd in the table with a 16 point behind Manchester City, and whilst a top four spot does look safe for them, they are only two points ahead of 3rd placed Liverpool now. Last weekend they won in a comfortable way against Swansea 2-0, making it four wins in a row in the Premier League.
HEAD TO HEAD
In their last six meetings with Manchester City, Manchester United have won three, drawn one, and lost two.
Manchester City News
Sergio Aguero is still a doubt after a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, whilst Benjamin Mendy is a fitness concern too. Pep Guardiola could rest players ahead of their Champions League tie in midweek.
Manchester United News
Sergio Romero and Daley Blind are the only absentees for Manchester United, with Phil Jones likely to be fit again in time.
