Chelsea V Bayern Munich
With a look at the International Champions Cup tournament taking place in the United States, China and Singapore this summer, featuring some of Europe’s elite clubs and the game we are looking at today is no exception as English champions Chelsea take on German champions Bayern Munich in the national stadium in Singapore on Tuesday.
Both teams have seen a number of new signings arriving this summer. Chelsea have just broken their transfer record by bringing in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. He joins Tiemoué Bakayoko and Antonio Rüdiger at Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea look to kick on this time playing in the Champions League next season. Bayern’s focus has been slightly more on youth. They’ve brought in Corentin Tolisso, Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Süle among others so far this summer.
But looking at the pre-season games of these two teams so far, Chelsea have only had one of note, that was a few days ago against English rivals Arsenal in the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing. Chelsea were convincing winners, claiming a 3-0 success there and looked very good in doing so, perhaps revealing a ruthless streak that they are looking to take into the new season. Bayern, on the other hand, against the same opponents Arsenal, they put in a decent performance but ultimately went down on penalties to the English team, but in their last performance, well, a really surprising 4-0 defeat at the hands of Milan, who of course have a number of new signings themselves who they are trying to fit into their team, so that really was a disappointing result for Bayern. However, that does tell us that perhaps the focus for Bayern is the fitting of new players into a system and gaining some match sharpness ahead of the big kick-off. And this game against Chelsea comes only a couple of days after that performance so that’s very insightful and we are going to use that to inform our betting this time.
So a Chelsea win looks really sensible and the odds here of 2.80 with bet365 and 10bet seem too good to turn down .If you wanted to go Chelsea to win half time and full time, how about 4.75 currently with Bwin? That’s look really good there, so get on those odds.
Over 2.5 goals has been the theme of the pre-season games so far this summer, goals being banged in all over the place, we don’t expect anything too different here so Over 2.5 goals is currently best at 1.65 with Unibet.
And then Anytime goalscorer which has been a really interesting market so far this summer, there has been a number of notable debut goals too, so that’s why we are looking at Alvaro Morata who will be making his debut for Chelsea in this game in Singapore. Currently the best odds here are around about 2.70 but I would advise to keep looking at that market as more bookmakers release these odds closer to the game, but 2.70 looks best for Morata currently.
