Nottingham – A Guide To Flat Racecourses

Nottingham Racecourse

Nottingham Racecourse is a galloping, flat left handed track. The circuit is about twelve furlongs in length and there is an additional extension attached to the straight which is used for sprint races. It is listed as a grade three track with three listed races being the only pattern events that are held at the venue, and they all take place from April to June.

It is a track where some of the less established trainers have done well, which is probably due to the overall quality of the type of races that are held at the venue, and therefore attracting a range of  horses with moderate ability in the main.

One trainer, who is climbing up the ranks is Michael Appleby, a local trainer who is better known for his exploits with horses that have managed to do well on a Fibresand surface.

However, he has a fairly good profitable record round here in certain race types as the results below show.

Please note: Profit and Loss figures (P/L) is based on level stakes betting of one Euro per bet to SP.
